Development of an Instrument to Measure Students’ Perceptions of Information Technology Fluency Skills: Establishing Content Validity
Introduction
This article describes the process undertaken to develop and validate a tool to measure students’ perceptions of their information technology (IT) fluency skills. Why is this important? There is a growing concern that students today are not prepared to live, learn, and work in a technology-rich society.1–3 Today’s college students do not have the necessary IT fluency skills despite their widespread use of the Internet.4–6
