The Spring 2018 issue of Perspectives in Health Information Management features the latest research on the factors surrounding switching EHR vendors as well as a study about using telemedicine to manage type two diabetes in Spain.
Authors of the study, “Utilization of Lean Methodology to Improve Quality and Efficiency of Rehabilitation Electronic Health Record Documentation,” found that implementation of Lean methodology applied to electronic health record documentation template inefficiencies proved to be an effective way of reducing time spent in the EHR by therapists, improving therapist productivity, and increasing satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders.
